I’m a mom of three and the proud wife of a former enlisted Marine. My family and I recently moved to Dallas, Texas from Reno, Nevada. Texas is where my hubby and I are originally from, which makes it so nice to be back with some of our family & friends.
A few of the things I love include coffee (lots of it!), cozy blankets (lots of ’em!), long walks (with the hubby), and I still absolutely love that feeling you get when scoring an awesome deal – and then getting to share it with anyone & everyone who will listen! 😆
I began blogging at Hip2Save.com in the summer of 2008 as a way to help myself, my family, and my friends save money. To be honest and totally transparent, the biggest reason I began blogging was to keep myself accountable. Before starting Hip2Save, I had racked up over 40K in credit card debt.😨 Read my full story here.
When starting my tiny blog back in 2008, I had no idea this hobby of mine would turn into a full-time endeavor and that Hip2Save would become the nationally-recognized savings site that it is today!

Here’s a look at how time flies when you’re having fun, and how my family has grown as the site has grown! ❤️ It’s definitely bittersweet and crazy how different my family looked in 2012 vs. 2017! 😱 (And they’re even bigger now, but I don’t get pics like I did when they were little & loved hangin’ out with their mama.) How is it that you blink and they are grown up?! 😫

When I first started the site, it was just little ol’ me, then my big sister Bryn came on board to help me do all the Hip things. Over time, our team has grown to include over 40 money-saving experts from all over the country! It’s incredible to be able to employ so many amazing individuals. ❤️
